The 100 miler Cyclemotor challenge in August went very well. We had a really good turnout with twenty three riders taking part and of those sixteen were awarded a coveted 100 miler badge for completing all three circuits. I was one of the last to finish on my Teagle which was giving problems due to dodgy modern petrol !

the Teagle is normally quite a fast Cyclemotor and my first lap went well but after refuelling with some fresh, just bought yesterday petrol, the problems started ! The carburettor and all other mechanical aspects were checked for faults but none were found, the conclusion was it was modern petrol and I must have got a particular dodgy lot the day before. I did manage to limp round the last two laps but I shall be buying different petrol before any more runs.

A big thank you must go out to the northern contingent who came all the way down from Barnsley and other mysterious places in the north of the country, there was a good number of you and you brought an assortment of small machines to ride,- some of them quite exotic ! I'm sorry I didn't get to talk to you all but I believe you all had a good time and enjoyed yourselves, hopefull we'll see you again next year.
