As usual, before setting off for a run do check on this website or by phoning us that it is still going ahead and that the time or venue hasn't changed, because sometimes we have to make last minute changes due to circumstances that are beyond our control !
The 100 mile run went well with a good attendance of approx twenty five people turning up.
Of those, fourteen went on the run and ten were awarded a prestigious 100 miler badge for completing the three laps of the course. I would like to take this oppertunity give a big thank you to Helen and Joan for again putting on another excellent spread of food and refreshments for us all throughout the day.
While this has generally been a good year for the Cyclemotor section there has been concern for a while now about the falling numbers of people attending the runs through the year. Any ideas for reversing this trend will be most welcome. Also it has become a matter of some urgency for someone to take over the role of Secretary or for someone to take on the website management of the section. I am currently doing both of these tasks and it is my intention to give up one or the other at the end of this year. So if you feel you could take on one of these jobs please do get in touch and I will tell you more about what is involved.
It would be good if we can get these issues sorted before our final run of the year so next years runs can get decided. The AGM and last run of the year is on the 8th November at Peacehaven Farm Ickford. HP18 9JE
